This explains what we do with your personal data when you buy from us or browse this site. The data controller is Searlco LTD, Ongar Business Centre, Ongar, Essex, CM5 0GA, UK. For anything in here, email orders@meridianoxford.com.
What we collect, and why

The recipient's name
When you order, you give us somebody else's name to print. We use it only to make and deliver that item, we do not market to them, and we do not keep it for any other purpose. If you are that person and would like your name removed from our records, email us and we will erase it once the order is complete and any tax retention period has passed.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of suppliers who process data on our behalf:
- Stripe
- Takes your payment. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe is a data controller in its own right for fraud prevention.
- Our hosting provider
- Stores the site and its database.
- Our email provider
- Sends your order confirmation and dispatch notice.
- Delivery carriers
- Receive the delivery address so they can deliver your parcel.
- Affiliate networks (Affillo, Awin, CJ)
- If you reached us through a publisher's link, we report the order value, order reference and referral identifier so the publisher is paid. We do not send them your name, address or email.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where your data goes
Some of these suppliers operate outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Order records: six years after the end of the financial year, because HMRC requires it.
- The wording you supplied: two years, so we can remake a faulty item or repeat an order.
- Marketing attribution cookies: 30 days from your visit.
- Email logs: 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we relied on it, which does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
Email orders@meridianoxford.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Customers in the United States
We apply the same standards wherever you live. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. Use the same email address above to exercise any of these rights.
Children
This site is not intended for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
